About Bleu Interior Design Studio

Founded in 2020 during the stillness of lockdown, Bleu Interiors was born from a deeply personal desire: to create a home so peaceful, warm, and comforting that you would never want to leave it.
What began as documenting the renovation of a personal apartment soon turned into something much bigger. In an unexpected turning point, a family in Abuja discovered the work online and reached out to commission the design of their five-bedroom home. That project — Asokoro Project 0677 — became the beginning of Bleu Interiors.
Today, Bleu Interiors is a luxury interior design studio based in Abuja, known for creating timeless, refined, and deeply livable spaces across Nigeria. With over 25 projects completed, the studio specializes in modern homes, renovations, restaurants, boutique commercial spaces, and niche hospitality environments designed with both beauty and function in mind.
At the heart of Bleu Interiors is the belief that home should feel like a sanctuary — a place to exist peacefully, unwind fully, and feel restored. Every space is intentionally tailored to the client’s lifestyle, routines, and emotional needs, resulting in interiors that are not only visually striking, but deeply personal and comforting.
Inspired by wabi-sabi philosophy and contemporary modern design, Bleu Interiors is recognized for its warm, layered aesthetic and thoughtful use of natural materials including wood, marble, linen, cotton, glass, earthy tones, and organic textures. The result is an atmosphere that feels grounded, elegant, effortless, and quietly luxurious.
The studio was founded by Ummeeta Rabiu — an interior designer, entrepreneur, and law graduate whose multidisciplinary background influences her approach to design. Though largely self-taught, Ummeeta formally studied interior design through online programs in London and additional professional courses, and is currently pursuing a diploma at LST. Her legal education contributes to the structure, detail, and professionalism with which every project is managed.
One of the studio’s most notable projects includes the renovation of a 13-bedroom mansion in Anambra, reflecting Bleu Interiors’ growing presence in high-end residential design across Nigeria.
More than a design studio, Bleu Interiors is evolving into a lifestyle brand — with a long-term vision that extends into furniture, hospitality, architecture, and internationally recognized design experiences rooted in warmth, elegance, and intentional living.
Our Philosophy
We believe beautiful spaces should not only be seen — they should be felt.
A Bleu Interiors space is designed to slow you down. To soften the noise of everyday life. To bring peace, comfort, functionality, and emotional connection into the way you live.
We do not believe in designing homes that merely look luxurious. We believe in designing spaces that feel lived in, meaningful, restorative, and timeless.
Founder’s Note
“Bleu Interiors began from my own longing for comfort, softness, and peace within the home. I wanted to create spaces that people could emotionally connect to — spaces that felt warm, functional, beautiful, and deeply personal.
Over the years, that vision has grown into a studio that designs not just for aesthetics, but for the way people truly live. Every project is approached with intention, emotion, and attention to detail.
For me, home is more than a place. It is a sanctuary.”
